Organised by Global Empire Events Limited, the World Leaders Summit convenes over 240 leaders from more than 30 countries, including Members of the House of Lords, UK Mayors, diplomats, entrepreneurs, educators, and institutional leaders. Now in its 18th edition, the Oxford gathering is a platform for cross-sector dialogue on the issues shaping the decade ahead.
Wortley and Malim bring a shared working relationship to the Oxford stage. Under a strategic collaboration between 360in360 Living Memories and BSMe2e, the two organisations have produced narrated flipbooks and AI-generated songs using digital twin technology to celebrate and preserve individual life journeys. One example, "The Eternal Spark: Fouzia's Soul Mission," is a 42-page illustrated tribute created through the partnership. The collaboration's common purpose is using technology to keep human stories alive for future generations — a response to the loneliness, social isolation, and memory loss that accompany ageing populations worldwide.
Wortley, 77, draws on more than fifty years observing and participating in technological change — from early computing to AI and the Metaverse. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, a Visiting Researcher at Bournemouth University, and a Project Supervisor at UCL's Global Business School for Health. His recently launched "Monologues and Memories" live production extends the same mission to the stage, blending humour, nostalgia, and immersive 360-degree video to address the wellbeing of older communities. He is also the author of "Gadgets to God: Reflections on our Changing Relationship with Technology," first published in 2012 and republished in paperback in August 2026.
At Oxford, Wortley will deliver his keynote, "The Fifth Industrial Revolution: Partnering with Machines to Amplify Human Potential," addressing the responsibility of leadership in an age where technology can either amplify or erode human connection — arguing that the most important innovation is not the next device, but how we choose to use it.
