Hezam Al-Asad, a Houthi official, denounced the attack on X, calling Israel "a criminal and bankrupt enemy that only targets public service facilities and civilian objects: electricity, water..."
Local residents reported hearing two blasts, and witnesses said smoke rose from the area around the facility.

The Israel Defense Forces said the attack, launched from roughly 2,000 kilometers away, was carried out in retaliation for repeated missile and drone assaults launched against Israel by the Houthis.
